Today, the rest of the staffers will arrive on the porch! I'm super excited to meet my potential staffers!!
Yesterday, we went to Johnson City, TN and met a lot of the big people behind the scenes of ASP. It was a nice afternoon and then, each of the staffers got to drive a vehicle back. I drove back one of ASP's 12 passenger vans-Hobie. It was an absolutely breathtaking drive. When I got home, I received more home repair applications for my county and started looking through them to organize them by town. I can tell from all of the applications that there are going to be way more people that need our help than I can offer. So, I ask for your thoughts and prayers as my staff and I select our homes within the next few weeks.
So jealous of all the breathtaking drives you're gonna have this year. I was just up in the Poconos for the last couple days and I thought about how much fun you're going to have in the real mountains. I'll never forget when we talked about how difficult it is not to be able to help everyone who needs it, so you'll be in my prayers while you make some tough decisions. And for what it's worth, something I always try to keep in mind: Matthew 25:40, words of wisdom from an old Jewish dude whom I worship on a semi-regular basis.
